The Carolina Trail golf courses in the Charlotte area have a new owner according to reports in the Charlotte Observer.

The Observer’s Deon Roberts reports that Toronto-based Romspen has taken control of Birkdale, Highland Creek, The Divide and the Tradition courses after a foreclosure process.

Traditional Golf Properties was managing the courses since November after the Carolina courses went into foreclosure. The group has been retained to maintain the courses.

In letters obtained by the Observer, Romspen indicated that any annual passes, playing privileges, memberships and coupons for the four clubs will no longer be valid.
