Ellis Maples mastered his craft under the watchful eye of the legendary Donald Ross and soon branched out to create some of top golf courses in the state. The East course, finished in 1962, is an Ellis Maples classic. You can see the Donald Ross influence in the way Maples followed the natural contours of the land, the position of the sand traps and shaping of the greens.You will need length, accuracy, and a solid short game and artful putting strokes to master this test.
