This November, head to the Village of Pinehurst to take in some spectacular Christmas decorations at the Pinehurst Festival of Trees. Presented by Sandhills Children’s Center, there will be a showcase of over 200 decorated holiday trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses and gift baskets. All the proceeds from this year’s Festival will go to the Sandhills Children’s Center and benefit North Carolina children with disabilities. The week of November 9th through November 15th will offer up nothing short of holiday splendor.

Tuesday evening’s Lighting of the Trees will kick off a week filled with live music, visits from Santa Claus, and Silent Auctions where you can bid on any of the decorations you see, from trees and wreaths to gift baskets. Be sure to arrive early in the week, as everything you can bid on will also have a buy it now price. Making a donation of any amount will gain you admittance to a walking tour of Christmas delight from 10am to 9:30pm Wednesday through Sunday. You will have to chance to see some of the most beautifully decorated Christmas trees around.

Pinehurst is even offering special lodging rates for this week, so it is prime time to visit North Carolina’s historic Pinehurst and to get into the holiday spirit, all while helping support a worthy cause. An overnight stay is only $69 per person and includes breakfast.
