Plans for Wilmington Municipal course renovations on slight hold

The plans for a major renovation at the Wilmington NC Municipal course have hit a slight delay.

According to the Wilmington Star-News, the official timeline for the project will not be set for another two weeks. In last night’s Wilmington City Council meeting, a plan was presented to renovate the greens at the course as well as drainage work, cart path work and irrigation system replacement.

The greens project will bring the course back to the original Donald Ross designed greens. Architect John Fought and Wilmington head pro David Donovan are hoping to begin the project by April 1.
