Looking for an outstanding North Carolina golf course off the beaten path? Look no further then the Pinecrest Country Club Golf Course in Lumberton NC.
The course, which is located less than a mile off of I-95, offers some of the best in traditional old style golf and southern hospitality. Pinecrest is right in the middle of the Pinehurst NC and Myrtle Beach SC areas with an hour drive of both locales.
The first nine holes of the course were designed by Dick Wilson in 1930 and the final nine were a collaboration of legendary Donald Ross and Wilson. The design takes full advantage of the towering North Carolina pines and beautiful azaleas to be extremely challenging and relaxing. The average round of golf is under three and a half hours.
The course has hosted the North Carolina Amateur three times (1995, 1998, 2001) and was the site of the 2002 CGA North Carolina Junior Championship as well as the host of the 2010 North Carolina Senior Women’s Golf Association State Championship. Pinecrest will host the 2014 North Carolina Women’s Amateur.
Dwight Gane and his staff look forward to your round. For more information, contact the course at (910) 738-6541.
